Location: Classes meet at 1007 Pasha Avenue (Sportsman's Repair Shop), Mosinee, WI. From I-39, take Hwy. 153 west through downtown Mosinee. 153 becomes 4th Street, then Western. Turn left (south) on Elm St., then turn right on Pasha Ave. The training area is in the back of the Sportsman Repair Shop building. Parking is available east of the building. Please use the east side entrance. Training equipment: We strongly recommend a properly fitting buckle collar and a six foot leather leash. Our instructors stress positive reinforcement training methods that include the use of treats, toys and praise to motivate the dogs. We do not permit the use of choke collars in classes. Puppy Kindergarten The class meets for 6 sessions. The first night is an orientation for handlers. Puppies do not come. The next five classes we will work with you and your puppy. Orientation for

Advanced Obedience The class meets for 6 sessions beginning Thursday, April 24, 2008, 7:30 pm. Dogs attend all sessions. Handlers should bring an ample supply of training treats. Dogs should wear a flat collar and be on a 6' leash.
This class will enhance basic
obedience skills with attention to individual handler goals and dog skills.
Topics may include heeling, stays, recall, and preparation for competition. For more

Introduction to Rally Obedience Class The class meets for 6 sessions. Dogs attend all sessions. Rally obedience is a new dog sport that, as of January 2005, is an AKC titling event. Designed to be a stepping stone from CGC (Canine Good Citizen test) to traditional obedience competition, rally-o uses basic obedience exercises (like sit, down, stand, front) to create a course that handlers move their dogs through. Plus, verbal interaction with your dog is allowed, making rally-o a fun, relaxed way to compete. Rally is perfect venue for novice handlers to start competing and for experienced handlers to try something different. Dogs of all ages more than 6 months old, are encouraged to try. information about this class contact: Ring Ready Rally The class meets for 6 sessions. Dogs attend all sessions. In this class, handlers and their dogs will gain experience running rally obedience courses. At the end of the six week class, most teams should be ready to enter the competition rally obedience ring. Handlers are expected to have had an introduction to all 50 rally signs. The class will begin with novice level courses and then gain complexity over the six weeks. In addition, training exercises designed to improve performance will be included during class time.
